DO NOT STAY THERE. Worst holiday ever.· Worst Christmas ever. Woke Christmas morning and went into a dark bar/lounge which was littered from the night before,to find No Breakfast!! and to find I was the Only occupant of the hotel all night! and NO toilet rolls either! In my 70's and disabled and thought I had booked a couple of good Christmas nights instead of sitting home alone. Took over half an hour for the barman to get a friend of his to get the keys to my room! 2nd night we checked that I wouldn't be in the hotel by myself and was assured that there would be other guests and that Breakfast would definitely be served. WRONG! This time I was followed downstairs by 4 other guests that had also expected breakfast and this time the bar and lounge door was Locked and No replies to phone calls, so for the 2nd morning running, I had to call my daughter to come and fetch me :( NO replies to emails, NO replies to phone messages and NO call back from the manager who'm I had left my number for when I got through to the bar lady on my return home. This story was taken up by Somerset Live and when they spoke to the manageress she lied saying there was staff there at all times and that Breakfast WAS served each morning!!!!!!! ALL LIES. I have had no person apology No replies to emails, and no replies to messages left. Disgusting behaviour from a manageress. No excuse at all. Sad Christmas for me.

Christmas DayOur lovely son and daughter in law had put down deposits for 7 family members to have a Christmas Day dinner. It came to Christmas Day at 5:00 in the afternoon and they couldnt find any record of the booking. We went home and had tinned chilli and rice. My poor daughter in law has been really upset over it. It wasnt just us this happened to but a few other people. We understand that mistakes happen but its how you deal with it. The way she has been treated since is appalling. She had to go back five times to try and get our deposits back which at one point looked bleak. I wont be going there again.

Best Sunday roastCame in for a Sunday roast, dog friendly which was great. Staff all friendly and THE best roast!! Perfectly situated to grab the last bus back to Bath. The price was certainly the best I have seen in a long time. Must see

Would recommendVisited with friends to try the Sunday Roast. Very friendly staff. Lunch was excellent value for money. The lunch was very hot with generous portions. I hope this time the new management team will stay as they have certainly made a big difference already.
