Tired & dated
The villa feels very dated and tired. The wooden floor around the pool is very old and some of the planks have nails sticking out. We only spent three nights there, but during this time we had to ask the host to fix the air con in one of the rooms and the fridge that had a faulty freezer. The staff tried their best, but the fridge issue remained unsolved. The villa is also very small and poorly planned. There is no air flow through the villa, as it has three solid walls, so during the day the patio is enormously hot even when you turn on all the fans. The only relatively good thing about this villa is the location next to the hustle and bustle of Seminyak. However, at New Year's Eve it also mean loud music and firecrackers until 6am! The villa manager did not respond to our complaints during or even after our stay. It must be noted though that villa staff tried their best to fix everything that was broken. In summary - stay away from this villa, there are tons of better options at Seminyak.

Calm place just near EAT STREET
As we have stayed two years ago in this typical indonesian house, the staff and equipement , including the pool are already a good stuff after busy or active days in this town. A new fridge and all facilities are here to cook yourself, two large bedrooms with pool view and an open living room. Wayan is a good breakfast cooker

Quiet oasis near the action in Seminyak
We had a really great stay at Villa West. We were 2 adults using 1 bedroom each so needless to say there was plenty of room for us! For ease of reading I'll list the pros and cons. Pros: - location, location, location. The villa is down a laneway off Eat Street in Seminyak, but set back enough to avoid all the noise. A short walk from endless places to eat and shop, and easy enough to get everywhere really. Taxis are plenty and readily available if you need to go further afield - the pool is the centrepiece of the villa with both the bedrooms and the living area facing it. The water temp was perfect when you got too hot sitting in the sun on one of the beanbags - the staff - the housekeeper Wayan is lovely and on hand to cook you breakfast as well as keep the villa in pristine condition. She will cook you breakfast using your own groceries or for an additional cost she will buy the groceries and cook for you. She made us Nasi Goreng on a few occasions! - The decor - it's a really nicely decorated villa with everything you need to feel at home Cons: - one of the bathrooms didn't have hot water in the shower. I'm sure this was fixable but we didn't mention it at the time because it was hot outside and there wasn't a huge need for a hot shower with the temp. - A few nights I could hear some sort of animal nesting in the roof and scratching about. It was a bit loud but when you've got the next day to lie by the pool and rest it wasn't really a big deal to be woken in the night! - There is no TV in the communal living area, just one in each bedroom. We didn't really watch TV that much but it would make more sense to have it in the lounge area so the guests can watch it together - A speaker would have been nice to play music through. I would have brought one if I had thought about it in advance All in all it was a great stay (8 nights) and I'd happily stay there again. There is a gate along side the pool which connects to the 3 bedroom villa next door so it's ideal if you've got a group of friends/family travelling together. Otherwise it remains closed.

Villa in the heart of Seminyak
I stayed there for 5 nights with my family during 17-18 new year. Note that we spent most part of the day exploring Bali, so we used the villa to chill in the evenings have breakfast and sleep. Although the villa is getting a bit old, the pros eclipse the cons. Pros: - Great location, within meters from the main streets of seminyak. Comes with a bit of noise from nearby clubs, but rooms are pretty quiet. - Wyang (maid) is friendly and helpful. - Manager made sure everything was fine. - WiFi worked well in all areas - Its own covered parking. - Cool design and villa/pool layout. - They added an extra bed for 300k p/n. Cons: - Alleyway heading to villa needs more light. - Shower pressure ok but everchanging. - facilities are getting old, could do with a refurbish.

stay away
for your own safety, stay away from Villa West. Its descriptions and reviews on internet are incorrect and its unfair owner won't give you any of the promised help. the villa doesn't have any of the following facilities: an equipped kitchen, a safe box (in effect there is a metal box leaning on the ground but it's not safe), a satellite tv. the so-called pool it's only a big tub. There isn't any sign of the promised security. The wood roof is full of woodworms, every 2-3 hours the beds and the floor were covered by wood powder and warm eggs (see the photos). the floor is always dirty because is made by rumbling wood and is easy hurt your feet. The doorway is shaky. the area is horrible, the villa is in a bottleneck road (full of dog s**t!!!) close to a noisy night club, very far from the sea by foot and in one of the busiest place we have ever seen (scooter and car everywhere). Because to book you have to pay the entire amount in advance, there isn't any hope to have you money back. Awful
