Good hotel for Chinese speakers but lacks access to trains and town centre.

The hotel is comfortable and clean. However, the rooms have a ridiculous set of cupboard doors. In order to use the kettle, you need to close the TV cupboard then open the kettle cupboard and finally reverse the process to watch the TV again. After a day or two, I found this activity really annoying. The TV only has one English speaking news programme and it doesn't have either BBC or CNN. Wifi strangely only worked occessionally. It is not on a VPN so access to Gmail, youtube, and google-maps it not possible from here. The area is not good for food, the nearby restaurants did not look appetising. The hotel is not located close to the centre and there are no railway stations nearby. Taxis are relatively cheap if you can get them to use their meters (some drivers refuse and try to negotiate a price instead). The hotel door staff are very good at finding cabs and helping with destination details. Food at the hotel is OK but not exciting. There is no bar and associated coffee shop tends to close at 23:00. I found that all of the staff were exceptionally friendly and all very professional.

    Not for western people

The rooms and the service at the reception was okay but when you want to have something to eat in the restaurant they don´t speak 1 word English. Also ordering room service they did not understand me and just gave me a "NO" on the phone when I asked if I could order something. I did not know my way around the area so felt a bit locked up. And forget it when you want to work from the Hotel. The internet was very poor.

    Not a tourist destination

We stopped over at this hotel on our way back from Australia as we flew with China Southern airlines, the staff were trying to be very helpful but as Guangzhou is not your normal stop over for English speaking tourist we found the language barrier quite difficult. This in turn made paying (which I am sure I over paid from what was stated) and organising taxis a pain. I had a business suite with its own large fridge and kitchen area which was great however this was not stocked with the essentials such as knife / forks bottle opener etc. and the bed was rock (and I mean ROCK) hard. Also although we booked transport through the hotel to pick us up from the airport we were in immigration for over 2 hours (no phones as not to incur charges) and the taxi driver left.

Calm & Quiet place to stay in!

I stayed here with my colleagues during a trip to Guangzhou to attend at China Coat Show 2018. This hotel was rightly selected by our Chinese friends who stay nearby. I was luckily upgraded to a suite and stayed in the Wing/Block-A. It was a large one with 3 rooms including a spacious living-cum dinning room. Nothing to complain about and it was a decent place to stay in. One minor suggestion to the hotel management - they should provide with bins in the Living Room and Bed Rooms. Staffs are good and well behaved personnel.

    Ok

I have lived in China for a year and the idea of a new Chinese hotel appealed to me (especially the price). This hotel was just ok. It is not for tourist and the staff speaks limited English, but the breakfast was very good. It was buffet style with a little bit of pastries (mini muffins and bread), salad, eggs, noodles, veggies, coffee, juice and tea. The bed is super hard, while the pillows were soft. I did not ask for a new mattress because I was only staying for one night. I usually prefer to stay at a Western style hotel (Marriot, Westin, Hilton, Sheraton, etc.) because they have a high standard of stay even in China. There was a stain in the bed and a couple of stops of mold around then sink and in the shower. Also like most Chinese style hotels, there was a smell of smoke coming from the bathroom.
