  Convenient with excellent staff

  Very pleasant and helpful reception staff. Meals were excellent apart from breakfast coffee. Neither Wifi nor air-conditioning worked in many of the rooms so noise level at front was high with windows open. Bed too soft for my liking. Excellent bathroom with good shower. Hotel is in an excellent position for tourists. Aldi in shopping opposite the hotel on Anger.

  Cozy, central place

  I visited for a short business meeting and stayed one night. The room is good - average furnishing. The bath is completely newly renovated/renewed. Little surprise: there is a speaker in the bathroom - you can still hear your tv while being in the bathroom ;) Breakfast was good - I really liked that there is a good variety but not thousands of different things that would go to waste in 80% - good fresh food offered. Super friendly service. I liked it! Thanks for the hospitality!

  Great place close to the action

  We loved this hotel. Efficient, friendly reception, an elevator to all floors and well appointed, bright and decent sized room. The bed was comfortable with end tables and lights on both sides. I dont think we found English speaking channels but that was pretty common during our trip. Nice bathroom with full bottles of conditioner, lotion, hand soap and body/hair wash. Walk in shower had plenty of hot water and a heated towel rack. There is a closet, safe and shelves for clothes as well as two fluffy white robes. We didnt purchase the breakfast. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station, tucked on a side street right off a Main Street. We didnt have any noise at night. There is a sauna on the top floor but we didnt have time to use it. Its a short walk into the old town center-the bridge just a block or so away. I dont know if there was AC and the one thing really missing is a kettle for tea and coffee. It felt luxurious compared to the Erfurt Ibis we stayed in a week earlier. Wed stay at Hotel Zumnorde again if were back.

  A quiet hotel in a good location

  The hotel is located above shops off a main street in the Anger district of Erfurt and a relatively short walk from the railway station and easy walking distance from most of the main sites of the historic centre of Erfurt. There are plenty of eating places nearby. The room was very quite, though ours was located well away from the main street, and was of good size, comfortable (and attractively a somewhat irregular shape). We did not breakfast at the hotel or use its adjacent restaurant so cannot comment on these. Tea / coffee making facilities in the room would, however, be a real asset. Desk staff friendly, but some had more English than others. The safe deposit box in the room was a pain -- hard to work because hard to enter numbers -- and the wifi was likewise a pain. Worked well enough to begin with, but I gave up latterly.

  Too expensive for the quality

  Stayed here for 2 nights last week - great location to explore the city. However, rather poor service and unfriendly staff - I never had shampoo or bath towels in my room despite asking twice. Not recommended for the rather high room rates.
