Total RelaxationBusby is named after an historical figure of Russel Bay of Islands fame. The complex is very well managed, the units clean , very good facilities and very easy to relax in. Being right on Marsden Road the view is straight out into the bay. It is a skip from the town centre with many restaurants and cafes to choose from. An ideal kick off spot for short trips such as south to Kawakawa for the train, Kerikeri for the market or wineries and Huruuru for the falls and Boutique craft brewery or Waitangi. Went to the latter for an hour , stayed til closing 4 hours later and could have spent more time there.Great place to learn about James Busby and his kitset home constructed in Australia and erected at Waitangi. His descendant Dan Busby was a great guide on our conducted tour. For the more adventurous, try Cape Reinga but do not be fooled. It is a very long day and so much to see . Busby has nice outside seating and loungibg areas with a spa and pool, and a nice lounging room/library. Thoroughly enjoyed our 7 nights and would certainly go again as there is still so much to see & do

Enjoyable week at Busby Manorwe had a very relaxing stay in Paihia at the Busby Manor resort, with very helpful staff who ensured we got the most from our stay, while leaving us to do our own thing when required, the units are within walking distance to the town center

Beautiful location for a family holidayThe best place in Paihia to stay for an amazing family holiday. The Busby manor is such a clean & tidy & beautiful place to spend a week or more away from home. The Busby manor is in the perfect location as it's right in the heart of Paihia & everything is within walking distance. Sharon @ Busby manor is such an amazing host who is very knowledgeable & helpful with local info, all you need to do is ask her & Sharon will put you onto the right people. We highly recommend this place to everyone. When you are in Paihia, this is the place to stay. Thanks again for everything. Absolutely loved our holiday. Cheers Vicki & Josh Benseman

Great location with so much to enjoy !We had a great experience at Busby Manor in Dec. Even though we arrived early, the friendly team did their best to get our room ready and when we came back they kindly upgraded us to a 2 bed apartment as they knew we had guests coming to stay! The facilities were great, the staff were very good and gave us space but were there when we needed them too. The location was excellent and we had such a good week exploring the region both on the land and the water. We will definitely be coming back again. Thank you for making our week so enjoyable.

weeks holidaysome of Bay of Islands activities closed or very heavily restricted due to covid 2 lockdown and some of the weather was against us , however it was a good break from our Auckland covid lockdown of level three
