  A country retreat

  Our Sat Nav took us straight to the door so very easy to find. The surroundings were very pleasant but as soon as you arrive you notice the noise from aircraft landing at the airport. The first thing you need to do is go and smooth the noses of your neighbours the horses, as they will quite likely be watching yo unpack your car from their stables. The accomodation itself had very comfortable beds, a small TV, coffee making facilaties and a chair to sit on. The onsuite is compact but adequate. The heating in the room was excellent. The full English breakfast in the morning set us up for the day. As it was sunny and warm we managed to go for a walk, although there was not much too see. The last B&B I frequented had a small lounge where guest could congregate and purchase bottled beer etc. However, none of this is available here. If you need to have a meal or a drink in the evening you have to drive away from the accomodation as there is nothing in walking distance.We had prepared for this an arrived with a cool box packed with rolls and some cans of beer plus a couple of G&Ts in a can. The other option for food is to have a takeaway and you will find some menus available in the hotel pack for takeaways that deliver to the accomodation. The prices may be a bit out of date as the chinese menu was dated 2013. Overhaul if you want a nice but not so quiet stay in the country and don't mind driving for meals rather than being able to walk somewhere then this place is ideal.

  Vaper Expo 2019

  Myself and 2 colleagues stayed here for 2 nights while attending the Vaper Expo at the NEC. Room was clean and tidy with coffee and tea available. Breakfast was lovely and prepared to your liking. The NEC is within walking distance (15-20 minutes) but better to take a taxi if the weather isnt great (£5)and the recommended A 2 B taxis arrived within 5 minutes of ordering. Overall a very comfortable stay and highly recommended if youre attending the NEC or staying overnight for a flight out of Birmingham Airport

  Quirky with style

  We stayed here for a recent trip for the BBC good food show, we arrived before the 3pm check in and the signs didnt make us feel welcome and no one was around so we went and found a pub for lunch, on Re arrival we were met by the owner and felt a bit better, she showed us to our room which was clean and well presented, after a wonderful curry we settled in with a bottle of wine and some TV, the sound of the horses being put away was a unique experience (not a bad one) and going out for a quick pet of them was nice!, the bed was awful both my wife & I agreed it was the worst night sleep we had ever had :( but the power shower wet room eased us in the morning, the breakfast was reasonable and they catered for my wife gluten intolerance and shes a vegetarian but the dining rooms layout make you feel uncomfortable as we as humans like our own space but are forced to sit with several others rather than your own table, overall it was ok but I wouldnt rush to go there again and that was for just one night

  Perfect relaxing base for our trip

  We travelled down from Anglesey, North Wales; to take our son to Cadbury's World for his very belated "post lockdown" birthday treat. Although there were places that were a little closer, Church Farm was only 30 mins away and seemed so much nicer than the others. It's really easy to reach, literally just a couple of minutes from the M42 by the NEC. Once you arrive the owner "Millie" greets you and you could be miles from anywhere! It's lovely. It is close to the airport, and we did notice the noise from the landing planes a couple of times but it certainly didn't affect us at all in any way. We stayed in Room 6 (family room) which was spacious and well laid out, all fittings are of really high quality; the place was homely and very welcoming. Spotlessly clean and the owners are working hard to ensure that COVID-19 adjustments are practical and don't detract from your stay at all. We opted for breakfast rolls and they were delivered hot, and with a cheerful smile each morning. The owner also gave us good advice about a couple of local places to eat out. We did try a couple of them, and they were lovely, both were family friendly and of them I'd rate the nearby Bulls Head as the very best. Lovely food and great atmosphere (we've left them a separate review). All in all we would highly recommend staying at Church Farm if you have any need of accommodation in the area. If we come down this way again we wont hesitate to book again!

  Night before flight from birmingham

  Great place to stay the night before you fly from Birmingham airport. We paid extra and left the car there for a week, cost not much more than airport parking and only £8 in car with a to b taxis. host was very friendly and helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.Setting is beautiful.
