  This little cottage was amazing me and my partner came here for valentines weekend. The lady who owns the cottages was very welcomeing and so lovely. It felt like a home from home feel to it. We would highly recommend this is everyone. It is definitely a place that everyone needs to go to. Thank you so much for giving us the best weekend xx

  Another wonderful stay

  This was our third visit to Fifth Milestone Cottage within a year. Terri always makes guests extremely welcome and nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is first class, with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfast is great too, with a good choice. Another big plus is the extensive garden, which is great for enjoying on a summers evening and there is also a hot tub! We always look forward to going and wouldnt dream of staying anywhere else when we visit the area. Stafford and Carole Shashoua

  Confotable night

  Stayed for 1 night in the lavender room, had a very confotable night room has large ensuite shower. We were told it was self-catering but no fridge. It was more like a B&B room with the added benefit of a toaster and microwave as only your bathroom sink to washing your pots plus small bisto style table and chairs.

  50th birthday celebrations

  We stayed 3 nights in cottage number 1. A cottage makes it sound small but it was far from it. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen. It was so clean and decorated lovely. We were made very welcome by the host, Terri. She met with us when we got there just to run through how things work and to recommend places to eat, drink and visit. This information was a great help. We had use of the hot tub too. It has lovely gardens and outside eating areas. Its close to York if you want to drive in. However, we found the park and ride as Askham very easy and convenient. The one thats closer is closed at the moment. We loved our stay and I would recommend it. Thanks for having us

  One night stay

  Booked a quick overnight stay for the first time this year due to Covid. Lovely stay in the Orchard Room... Beautifully decorated with big wet room, toaster, kettle, microwave & cutlery and crockery. Would be perfect for disabled person too, which we weren't, but it was only one night Would definitely look at coming again even though not really far from home in Hartlepool. A lovely surprise find!
