  muy acogedor limpísimo centrico

  Fantástico, realmente. Centrico, y a la vez muy tranquilo, no se oye nada. Buena acogida, personal muy amable. Habitación impecable. Desayuno rico y muy variado. La próxima vez que vaya a Freiburg, reservaré este hotelito, lleno de encanto y confort.

  WELL-OILED MACHINE

  As other reviewers have stated this hotel is on several floors and there is no lift so if you find stairs difficult, you should bear this in mind. However, although we were quite prepared to lug our suitcases up to our room on the second floor ourselves, the male receptionist on duty when we arrived, insisted on carrying them up for us. We viewed the stairs as a good exercise opportunity particularly after over-indulging in the excellent breakfasts! The hotel ran like a well-oiled machine. Everything in the room worked, and the various staff on duty seemed committed to providing a good service. Particularly impressive was the attention paid to keeping the breakfast buffet well-stocked. For the size of the hotel there was a very wide selection of meats and cheeses etc, and my favourite Bircher muesli which was homemade. The breakfast room is quite small and during our stay it seemed to be that the earlier you came, the less crowded it was. On our first morning the rush hour seemed to be about 9.30 am when we took the last table available. There was a radiator in our room which we only needed to have on low during our visit and we noted the air-conditioning unit on the wall for use if necessary at other times.

  Welcoming, quirky, comfy

  My boyfriend and I stayed one night, in a room with a terrace. Pro : typical German breakfast included in price, cute/typisch Deutschhotel, lovely staff who speak both French and English. Cons: no fitness room, my boyfriend is sensitive to textures and the sheets were not great for him, pricey (180/night).

  Cutest little place!

  On a quiet side street between the train station and the old part of town = perfectly located for a weekend trip. Clean, friendly, breakfast was great, we could leave our luggage when our room booking was over. The ladies at reception helped with recommendations so we felt well looked after. Very welcoming, can recommend further!

  Brilliant breakfast but slightly old fashioned room

  The best bit about our stay was the wonderful breakfast which had a huge range of breads, meats and cheeses. And the staff were warm and friendly. Its also handy for the historic centre of Freiburg which is only five minutes walk away. And its very quiet. We were given one of their better rooms on the third floor (no lift) but it felt a bit unloved and dingy. We stayed here because it had parking. But the parking incurs an extra 12 Euro charge. And in theory you should get an environmental pass for your car to drop off at the hotel which is another 5 Euros. Its almost impossible to buy one online and you are supposed to visit an office in the town - but we arrived at 7pm and left at 9am so that was impossible - two weeks later, we have yet to receive a fine ;-)
