  Fantastic hospitality

  This is a fantastic family run hotel! We had the pleasure of spending three nights here and we couldnt have been more pleased with our choice. We became familiar with the staff over the three days, one gentleman in particular who runs the restaurant. A nights stay only cost us £60+ a night for the two of us and that included a lovely breakfast in the morning filled with fresh homemade pastries and other yummy foods to choose from. We were really looked after here. On our last night we decided to eat at the hotels restaurant for dinner. They have set menus with different choices to choose from at only 16 for three courses. The dessert was self- service of lovely homemade desserts. The lovely gent told us to have as many as we wanted and wanted us to try as many as we could as he bakes them. We were stuffed! The food was delicious and we couldnt believe how much we got for the price. The bedroom was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bedroom was cleaned every day on your own request. Myself and my boyfriend are already planning when we can go back to lovely Lake Garda and we will most definitely stay here again.

  Nice room, nice people

  Well situated, just a block or two from the beautiful Lago di Garda. Swimming pool and its own parking lot which we were thankful for! People were very nice and helpful....tricky air conditioning until they showed us how it worked, but the room was nice and clean. The bathroom was small but adequate. They have their own restaurant with a nice breakfast array. Lots of other restaurants to choose from up and down the main street. Wish we could have stayed longer than just one night!

  Excellent stay at Benaco

  During our stay we really enjoyed the characteristic hotel benaco and their super friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious, with homemade pastries and fresh juices. The room was comfortable, although the bathroom was a little small. The pool was really good for cooling off from the hot sun & beds near pool are relaxed. The well maintained flowers and plants around really add value to the image of the hotel. There is even a beautifull roof terrace on the top floor and the WiFi was always working. The hotel is located in a calm street that is at a Large distance from the sirmione castle. The staff offered us great bicycles with gears which we used a lot during our stay to get to sirmione. We really appreciated that. We would like to thank the whole staff for making our stay this comfortable.

  Friendly Family run hotel well located in Sirmione

  Stayed here for one week. Had a wonderful stay.. Staff efficient, friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is very good. Self service with a good selection to suit all. The pool is very nice with sun beds available. The hotel is well located close to the lake. The shuttle bus into Sirmione Historic Centre run every 10-15 mins for 1 euro pp. also close to restaurants and bars. The Arrivo bus service is very good and will take you to other villages around the lake for a few euros. We used public transport during our stay and the airport shuttle bus from Verona too. Lovely stay, would definitely recommend this hotel and it deserves a good review.

  A small Family run Hotel thats big on Service and Value

  I stayed at Hotel Benaco for one week in mid June, I was familiar with the area from a previous trip and wanted to stay here again and I was looking for somewhere clean, comfortable and good value and breakfast would be an added bonus, not only did I get all of this but a lot more. The first person I met was Francesca when I checked in, she was friendly courteous and very helpful and was always on hand with advice on buses and destinations. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful and the man who worked there always greeted his visitors with a smile and warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble to provide an excellent service to his guests. The room was comfortable and adequately furnished and when your destination is Lake Garda/Sirmione you don't need much more as you will be too busy outside enjoying the sites and the Italian sunshine or the beautiful garden with its pool and hot tub. So a big 'Grazie Mille' to Angelo, Francesca and all the staff at Hotel Benaco for an excellent stay and service. It might only be a 3 * Hotel but don't let that put you off if you want Value, Service, character and a Home away from Home. The Bus Stops for local buses that can take you to Sirmione, Verona, Desenzano del Garda and Peschiera del Garda are close by, you can purchase a ticket on the bus or if you want a slightly cheaper ticket you can buy them from the local Tabacchi's Shops but in fairness public transport in Italy is very reasonable. It is also possible using 2 local busses to get to Malcesine a breathtakingly beautiful town further up the lake and make sure to take the cable car to visit Monte Baldo.
