  Wonderful, but too much expensive

  Miramare hotel has been refurbished recently. Decoration is sober with strong taste. Location is perfect, just front the beach. There is a car parking that it very convenient. Staff is there for you this is very appreciable Garden is well arranged with cosy areas and plenty of flowers. Breakfast is in line with that hotel level, terrace is wonderful. Romm is decorated with modern style and well equipped. Unfortunately, there is not a balcony on all of them. Last topic, price for a night is too high for such hotel.

  Missed the luxury mark

  My husband and I visit Sanremo every year to visit his parents. We brought my parents this year so we decided to stay in the hotel with my parents. We spent 1 night and had 2 premium seaside view rooms. When we arrived only one room was ready so my parents got it. When our room was ready we immediately noticed the smell of smoke in the room. My husband inquired and the staff member said they couldn't prevent guests from smoking in the room so they just put ashtrays in the room... I can't remember the last hotel I stayed at that didn't explicitly say they'd charge you for smoking! This is a hotel that charges 35 Euro per person per day to use the pool yet they don't charge incidentals for smoking in the room. We complained about the smell and were moved to a different room that didn't smell. It was small, especially the bathroom but the closets were nice. Air conditioning did not work very well. When we checked out, they had a charge of 35 Euro for the beach which we did not use. We complained and got it removed. When booking the hotel, they were upfront about the cost of the pool but the beach was listed as free. Even though we had no interest in the pool, I've never seen a hotel who claims they are a 5 star hotel charge for the pool and beach. Maybe I've seen charges to reserve seats but that's it. When you stay at a 5 star hotel you don't want to feel like they nickle and dimed you. This place has great potential with the location and historical building but I think they should aim to be a good 4 star hotel instead.

  Rip off merchants

  The hotel is beautiful and all - but what a deceptive bunch of thieves. They charge extra to use the pool lounges and the beach access is not their beach and again youve got to pay extra. And its not cheap either for them! Any normal hotel gives this all included. Its just disgusting and they should be ashamed. Especially as this was all hidden prior to checking in. Had I known I never wouldve booked this place. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LOVE HIDDEN CHARGES.

  The perfect stay

  After our disappointing Hotel stay in Levanto, we continued to Sanremo. We spent 3 days in Sanremo and stayed in the Miramare The Palace. The hotel is just gorgeous. The hotel is located in a perfectly renovated former Palace, equipped with all the comfort you would expect of a 5 star luxury hotel. We liked the modern art tastily distributed in all areas, the furniture, the bar all decorated in the best of taste. On arrival we just dropped the car key with the concierge and the holidays started. While checking in, the car was parked and the luggage was delivered to the room, just perfect. The rooms are a pleasure to look at, spacy and comfortable to live in. The bathrooms are most modern and equipped with all possible amenities. The staff and personnel are extremely friendly, helpful and attentive. We got such a nice room with sea view and balcony, which made it hard for us to leave the room. The breakfast was an indulgence of fruits, cakes, international and Italian food. The breakfast at the terrace with a beautiful view and perfect service was just a pleasure. We will certainly return.

  Word of advice: Find another Hotel !

  Me and my boyfriend just got married, and decided to go to Italy for a week after the wedding to relax. The rooms at Miramare were expensive but we figured it was worth it for a nice sunny week of luxury. I e-mailed the Hotel and told them we were on our honeymoon, and still they managed to give us one of the worst rooms at the Hotel (1st floor right over the restaurant with loud music every night). Apparently the room were supposed to have a view over the city, but all we could ses from our window was the huge parking lot. When we tried to change the room we were told there were no other rooms available. The breakfast is really good, if youre into cake in the morning - and the price per person is shocking (25 euro ). They also charge you 25 Euros per person to stay at the Hotel pool for half a day and 35euros per person to go to their beach. The Hotel does not have a gym, but we chose to stay here because of the tennis court they mentioned on their website, which turned out to not belong to the Hotel in any case. When we asked the receipton about the tennis, they told us we have to figure it out by ourselves. I would not recommand Miramare to anyone and I regret going here on our honeymoon.
