Lovely experienceVisited for Sunday lunch with my family. It was a lovely day so we sat outside. The food was good, and the service excellent. We heard staff being very clear with people that COVID restrictions applied. Would definitely return

Average experienceThe hotel was clean but very tired in places. Our double room was the smallest Ive ever seen with no room to manoeuvre around the bed. Not even a chair to sit on. Breakfast excellent despite the pandemic. Waiting staff excellent, reception staff not particularly so. Fantastic location.

Mrs QuigleyStayed in the pier hotel this week for 2 nights Was disappointed to see people checking in without masks .Or social distance. Room was very nice ,Staff were helpful and cheerful . Food especially breakfast was a disgrace,!!! Full breakfast came with HALF piece of brown and white pudding .Bacon could be used to soak my shoe . Second morning breakfast we decided to give the FULL Breakfast a miss .,so we opped for poached eggs, They arrived sliding around ,like ping pong balls And looked like ping pong balls .They were over cooked and were like rubber No garnish just 2 goes/ rubber balls sliding around the plate. I think the chef / cook needs to go back to catering school as he could do with more lessons . The really annoying thing was that 5 local men could come into the bar area ,and order drink ,with no food purchased .No social distance was evident. The bar sigh said clearly NO drink served at the bar . But this was ignored. All in all this was our 3rd time to visit this hotel, BUT It will be our last. Shame on you Pierhead, You have let yourselves down .!!!

"Not a 5* hotel"This place has a lot of potential but unfortunately the staff let it down during our family visit. Apart from one young girl at breakfast who was wonderfully helpful, the other older staff were the opposite. From a cold reception by the check staff right through to check out it seemed we were an inconvenience to the staff...we weren't the only inconvenience to the staff though, as we checked in the receptionist answered the phone and abruptly answered whatever request was made by the guest on the other end of the phone by saying "we aren't a 5* hotel you know".... and their attitude isn't 5* either

Birthday CelebrationsMy husband and I booked a two night B&B stay 5th & 6th October to celebrate my birthday and we were so glad we did. This hotel is right on the harbour with stunning views out to sea and the beach (119). All COVID19 regs were in action but in a non-invasive and professional way. This place was spotless and the rooms warm and welcoming. Everything you could need was there although I cant comment on the spa facilities as although they were open we didnt use during our short stay. Breakfast was table service only but beautifully cooked and served in a lovely spacious room with stunning sea views and in warmer weather you could eat out on the open terrace. The welcoming lounge bar also provided food until 20:30 and drinks to 22:30. Food was very reasonable and BIG portions!! Would I recommend here... most certainly ! It is a wonderful comfy base to explore all that northern Sligo Leitrim and Southern Donegal - but Mullaghmore is a wee gem in itself. So sad that this hotel has had to close today 7th October due to further COVID restrictions in the Republic of Ireland. My thoughts are with the wonderful staff at this uncertain time
