    Far from advertised

Stayed here from 24th August 2020 and on first impressions hotel block (elegance) was lovely. The staff that maned the bar at this block where fantastic. Food is served in a very over crowded restaurant block, and it was like a cattle market. The food was the same every meal, rice, bulgar rice, meat balls along side a few casserole type dishes which were swimming in liquid. Now either the chef lacks knowledge or simply doesn't give a though to the people eating his muck. I work in the chef industry and can simple say that even a few simple adjustments would have made the food much more pleasing to both the eye and the pallet. The fresh fruit was warm to the touch and in general the food was dire. The staff do not have good English are a few of them in main reception are very ignorant. The hotel is on the outskirts of the main shopping area and each time you get a taxi it is a different price for the same journey and coming back from town you can expect to pay a lot more. The town area is lovely and I will return to the area but unless things change at this hotel I will not be rushing back.

    Amazing Family Holiday!

10 of us friends / family stayed at this hotel from Aug 14th - 28th we all had an amazing time! and 100% recommend this hotel. below are a list of pros/ cons PROS: Animation team 100% made this holiday the entertainment in the day and at night was amazing.. you would pay a lot of money in the uk to see some of the shows they had on in the evenings. Pasha from the animation team went above and beyond to make sure you and your family were happy and took time out of his day to sit, speak and get to know you all personally / he also acted as translator for us on many occasions when we couldn't speak to reception staff. He was so kind and genuine the hotel should be proud to have him a fantastic rep and lovely man - we hope to see him again next year. Also have to mention Johnny who again would take time out of his day to sit and get to know you and your family a great rep who is very funny! and a great evening host.. karaoke night was our favourite and his aqua gym is a must! lovely man. elegance building is the best option very quiet and lovely views. food / dining no problems at all if you woke up early enough as all hotels. facilities - private beach / pier / water sports all amazing CONS: stay away from the photographer.. we won 1 free photo in the hotel raffle and as a group of 10 spent an additional £100 with him and he still complained and moaned at us that we didn't want another set of photos taken. very rude man. the building overlooking the pool air conditioning didn't work in either of the two rooms our family had in this building no english speaker at hotel reception had to get animation team to translate for us only one life guard between the pool and slides bigger buffet needed for the size of the hotel ( maybe this is due to covid )

Avoid if you want a relaxing stress free holiday.

Currently we have 3 nights left, we are a very normal family who have been to turkey numerous times (mainly Antalya) we are not picky and this is the first time I have ever wrote a negative review but other Brits need to be wary here ! On first impressions I thought the hotel looked nice but it was dark when we arrived, it needs a serious DIY SOS !! Pool is very small overcrowded and you have to get up at 6 am if you want a sun bed. The pool music is like being at a rave (soooooo loud!!!!), you cant even talk to the person next to you, oh and its constant Turkish music but if u want it changed you are allowed one English song before they moan and change it back! The rooms are ok, on the bright side we only had to move 4 times before we had air con, also beware of the live cables poking out the walls !!!!! The restaurant - out of 6 nights we have eaten in there 3 times, its literally like being in a cattle stampede, seriously long queues, no matter what time you go its crazy, and the food is the worst we have ever seen at a hotel in turkey, very limited food. The animation team is the only thing good at this hotel, who do there best to keep the guests happy and get moaned at by other members of staff for doing their jobs !! Talking to one member of staff they said the hotel go for quantity not quality which kinda says it all.

Good hotel for an adequate price.

Location Convenient, on a small slope with pools on the terraces. If you read the reviews of the "martyrs" who are lazy to go a few steps to the sea - it's fat sloths) On the left of the territory - the trail we called "bypass", it is the fastest way to get to the beach, past the terraces with sunbeds and bars. Directly in front of the hotel is a spacious pool in the shape of a dolphin, on one edge is small enough for children to swim. Nearby are children's slides, a mini-water park and slides for the little ones. Below - terraces with pool and two bars. On the beach - not crowded. The best places are in the gazebos on the left, so you should wake up early to take them. The beach is sandy, clean and limited from the sea by a strip of panels at a depth of 2 meters. Further this strip sea urchins do not settle. From the terraces near the gazebos you can watch the sea inhabitants even without a mask! Crabs, many fish and shellfish. In the evenings the beach is deserted, so after dinner you can enjoy the coolness with a bunch of grapes and wine. And with children you can spend hours catching crabs of various calibers, which climb on the rocks in the dark. Within 5 minutes walk - Didim's own town. In the vicinity of the hotel is a good inexpensive amusement park and several shops / supermarkets. At the opposite end of town - the ruins of the temple of Apollo, I read that some of the best preserved. That is, these are not the two broken columns to which tours lead to other cities and tell stories for hours) This is a really noteworthy complex of buildings. But the main advantage is that you can go there by minibus or taxi, rather than book a tour. Admission is a few euros. At the reception you can arrange a day water tour by small boat. The main thing is not to expect that you will go to the islands! This is a tour to just swim in different bays, and stopping on the islands is prohibited. It cost us $ 20 per person, including lunch on the boat + transfer by bus from the hotel. Food Delicious and varied. Queues are very rare and only if you sleep until 10 :) The grill kitchen is just wonderful! Every day a different kind of fish (something like sea bream, mackerel, perch) or chicken or meat. 5 varieties of baklava - the best tried anywhere. The rest is traditional - a bunch of varieties of salads, sweets, fast food, cheese, greens, cream soups, cereals, other fruits every day. Near the beach there is another fast food kitchen (burgers, french fries, chicken, etc.) At lunch there - Belgian waffles for kids. By the large pool at lunch - corn. Nearby - unlimited ice cream for kids. In addition to the main hall, there are two other restaurants - fish and Turkish, but as I see it serves almost the same dishes as in the main hall. But of course the best landscape from there, no noisy neighbors nearby Alcohol Wine - good, beer - Tuborg (not bad even for spoiled by local beers such as Mykulynetske and Opillya), vodka - not bad, whiskey - not recommend. Two disadvantages - there is a lack of normal full-size 0.5 glasses \ glasses for beer :) Well, there is a lack of NORMAL full-size coffee. That is, no large lattes or Americano! Only these miniature cups, which need 3-4 per adult) Premises and territory Clean and tidy. Fans of the cold the first couple of nights will have to sleep right in front of the air conditioner (like me), and then get used to it. In the bathroom, no cheap tiles on the walls - just marble slabs) Nothing is broken. Balconies - spacious. Even from the windows that do not face the sea - a good view of the salt marshes, trees in the area or olive groves. Cons - in the heat of the refrigerator works at a minimum, ie wine and fruit will be cold, but the ice cream is guaranteed to melt. Solved by an ice pack that can be dialed at the bar. There is a paramedic on the territory, but it is better not to count on it ... to stick a plaster or to pull out needles of hedgehogs. Take with you antiemetic, antipyretic, pancreatin, antiallergic, activated charcoal and laxative (gold standard of first aid kits for kids) In the lobby there is a shop where you can buy sunscreen, a circle, sneakers, a vest for the little ones or some other forgotten little thing. Personnel Polite and attentive. That is, there is nothing to complain about at all. English-speaking. Well, another advantage - the almost complete absence of Russians! That is, NO drunken screams, vomiting in the corners, ragulism, garbage under him, primitive pop from speakers and other attributes of the branch of the Russian "Zaporebrik" !!! Russian was understood by several people from the reception and a boy from the spa. Music - Turkish or English. Once there was a whole Bob Marley album :) Most tourists are Turks, less - Ukrainians and Europeans. Bright evidence of the humanity of the staff: The younger forgot in the room a favorite toy. The tour operator, when asked to give the phone number of their representative at the hotel, unsubscribed every 24 hours "will announce the reservation number", "will announce the voucher number", "will announce the date of payment" ... Meanwhile, the local staff, without talking, in a few hours, found the toy and agreed with a tourist from Ukraine, who took it and sent it to us by Nova Poshta a day later.

    Average

Covid- Covid safe majority of the time but they tried there very best to make it. Masks have to be worn in the Buffett and are given out if you dont have one. There is anti bac hand gel around the resort. The rest of the hotel is kept clean but a little bit tatty in a few places. Food- To us it was rather basic and a few unusual choices. Although very bored of the Buffett after a few days reminded us of a Turkish Harvester. You can only visit the restaurants once per stay for your free meal and can be difficult to book so book immediately, when you arrive. Drinks- They only serve local alcohol for free but pretty good including Efes beer, range of cocktails and spirts. Pool bar open 24/7 due to Covid and no after 11 bar open. The lobby bar shuts at 12pm. Entertainment- Little bit cheesy for us but excellent for kids as a evening show is on every night. Rooms- Bedrooms were modern but average. Facilities- The pool is massive with plenty of sun beds and the water slides were great fun. The beach was average with an option for paid watersports. There are a few tennis courts but didnt use them. Few shops on the resort e.g. salon, off licences, few stores selling fake designer items. Spa- Pretty good spa including sauna, steam room, indoor pool and treatments. My partner and I had a massage each then after was tricked by a clever sales technique stating we needed to sort out our sore backs out. We originally paid £110 for two and then managed to get six for £215. (Works out £36 each) Charlie- tour guide My Eden dont bother going and tour days can be haggled though. We would recommend going to Key-f restaurant a lot cheaper and better. (Amazing chocolate soufflé). The Yacht Club Hotel in the same area is also very nice and reasonable. Also, you can hire a sunbed and towel for £8 for a week day and £10 for the weekend. I would recommend this if you want more of a quiet day with a great view of the Marina. Overall, our week away in late September was lovely and warm. Although we wouldnt rush back to the hotel due to the lack of quality of the food but okay for the price we paid. Everything down to taxis can be haggled. (We booked on booking.com for £800 for a week for two people plus flights with EasyJet).
