  Not Great

  I stayed 3 nights during the virus shutdown so none of the hotel amenities were available. The room was not particularly clean. There were a couple of tiny silverfish in the bed under the sheets. On my last night the room next door to mine had a wild party. Rap music was blaring so loud it vibrated my room. I was eventually able to get the hotel staff to get the music turned down. I could be wrong but I believe hookers were using the room. Tha A/C in the room was extremely loud also and blew air directly at the bed. I have stayed in many Marriott properties. This was by far the worst.

  Very dissatisfied & disgusted!

  After traveling over 350 miles..... We check in to this ......... >>> the Toilet wasnt cleaned. Covers and sheets were stained and dirty. Overall was a terrible/ horrible experience. Never again!!! I spoke with a guy named Aaron & all that was offered to me was a 10$ discount. Distasteful *

  We had a great 2 night stay for a baseball tournament. But our housekeeper, Dominique, who welcomed us really set the tone for our stay. She greeted us and our children with the kindest smile and even brought linens for our daughters baby doll. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was very warm and helpful. The pool is very nice too.

  Wretched Management at this Hotel Has Repeatedly Cancelled My Reservations Made 1 Year in Advance

  The wretched management of this hotel has cancelled my football weekend reservations 3 times in the past 3 years. Tonight they emailed me (didnt even have the courage to call me) to cancel my reservation for the Auburn game next weekend (check-in less than 7 days away). This was a reservation I made nearly 6 months ago. As an alumnus of MSU with football season tickets annually, and with 3 of my children having graduated from MSU or currently attending for the past 6 years, I always book my hotel in Starkville for game weekends as soon as they show up for booking. Most of the time Im able to book 6-10 months in advance. Ive been Marriott Bonvoy Titanium for years as well as Hilton Honors Diamond because of traveling for business for 30 years. Ive never been treated as poorly by any hotel for my reservations as I have from the Courtyard in Starkville. The first time it happened 3 years ago, they paid for me a stay next door at the Comfort Suites. The last time and today, they offered me 1,000 points (which is equivalent to about $7 at the sundry shop). This experience with Marriott has gotten so ridiculous that I will be assessing and realigning my hotel reward credit cards in my wallet (both personal cards and my businesss card.)

  Beware--not up to Marriott's Standards

  My wife and I had a leisurely drive down Natchez Trace and needed a place to spend the night. We mistakenly picked this hotel. The TV flashed on for one second and off for one second, most of the outlets in the room did not work, the toilet paper hanger was almost falling off of the wall and the upstairs neighbors had a child that ran loudly for three hours across the floor upstairs. Breakfast was a muffin and a granola bar and a cup of coffee. Oh yes, we had to actually go to the desk and ask for shampoo since none was furnished in the room. No conditioner available, just shampoo. All for the price of $130.90 per night. When we mentioned these problems with the room to the desk clerk, it was apparent that she had not intention to fix anything and was visibly peeved that we even had the gall to mention them. The bed did sleep well after the upstairs kid stopped running. No football that Saturday night in November due to TV issues. Parking was next door and a bit of a walk in an unmanned garage. You have been warned!
