    Car was broken into

    Wonderful stay, staff is super nice and room was clean, but unfortunately my car was broken into. Stole sunglasses, registration, everything. This has never happened to me in my life so we were pretty disappointed so just remember to lock your cars, double check!!! Triple check because you car will be broken into, cop said it happens all the time. I recommend staff also to warn guests as well. They always do when I stay in Durham.

    My Favorite Date Weekend Getaway!!

    Absolutely Love this place!! Quiet, super comfortable, and spotless clean. Room was cleaned by Ms. Pat, you can clearly see she takes pride in her work and making guests comfortable. I had a maintenance issue upon arrival that was handled quickly and professionally by (Alyssa??) So sorry if I got the name wrong. Was so exciting to see a female on the maintenance crew! Not something you see often, but the girl handled her business and could not have done any better!! I always hate to leave when it's time to check out, but I can't wait to book my next stay!!!

    Uncaring front desk and useless foreign call center

    I actually called Hilton to book a stay with my Hilton Reward points from being a 20+ year Hilton Honors member. Unfortunately, all calls these days go to foreign call centers who want to go through a long script instead of just doing what I need quickly. So the call dropped while I was driving, I ended up showing up at the property and told the front desk I wanted to use my points to stay that night and they said they could not help me. I needed a room because I had been through an emergency that day, so I was distraught and exhausted and could not believe they couldn't just take my Hilton Honors and handle it on the spot. So I sat in the lobby and called the call center and had multiple problems with them wanting to send me a code which never arrived. I was passed to 4 different reps and sat there for 1.5 hours in distress trying to get booked at the very hotel I was sitting in!!! When the reservation was finally made, I talked to Donna up front and said after this ordeal just to get my room, may I have late checkout and yes said I could. However, before she could check me in, she was called away and I had to deal with Tosha (spelling) who had a real attitude with me despite she was aware of my situation as she had heard me crying on the phone for the 1.5 hours it took to make a simple booking. She was not just unsympathetic, but cold and rude and when I said Donna had told me I could have a late checkout, she said it's not something you do. Basically, she was treating me like I was a liar, I was so offended. Fortunately, Donna showed back up while Tosha was mistreating me the guest and confirmed that she had indeed approved me for late checkout. If I hadn't spent all that time just trying to get the reservation and my points had already been removed from my account, I would have walked out. Not only am I long time Hilton Honors members, but I worked for Marriott early in my career and became a Director of Training at Six Senses luxury resorts across Asia, properties that are stayed in by the likes of Tom Cruise, Madonna, etc. I would have fired Tosha immediately for treating a guest the way she did. The next day I went down to breakfast, the only positive thing I can say about my stay, as Iris and Jerry were the opposite of Tosha, extremely friendly, polite and helpful, I think they should replace Tosha at the front desk. After eating I went back up to my room to go back to sleep as I had been provided a late checkout. I was sleeping when I hear the knock and Housekeeping, I called through the door that I had late checkout. I was just starting to go back to sleep when it happened again and again I responded. The third time it happened I was furious and flung open the door to ask why they kept disturbing me when I was down to late checkout. The maid apologized saying that the front desk never tells them when someone has late checkout. That's a pretty basic operations process, as again I started my career at the front desk with Marriott and I always let housekeeping know - pretty simple. Then later a 4th maid knocked and I had the same conversation with her. I guess people like Tosha cannot be bothered to communicate with her fellow staff members. I cannot believe I wasted so many points on the worst hotel stay I have ever had on one of the worst days of my life. When the pandemic ends, and the world goes back to normal travel, my first choice when booking stays will not be Hilton. I could have saved my points and slept in my car and had a more pleasant stay.

    Great hotel and location

    We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is older, but very well maintained. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We are in Winston-Salem often to visit family and this property will be our first choice from more on.

    Hilton Hampton Inn Hanes Mall exceeds expectations with recent bereavement stay of beloved family member and clergy

    The Hilton Hampton Inn was an incredible property and the management staff to include the outstanding compassion and excellence in true hospitality had by the Sales coordinator a Ms Donna Brock-allowed my family and friends to begin with a small cluster of rooms to expand to meet the accommodations of our family safely and without hesitation. The rooms were sealed immaculate and reassuring. The meeting space was made available to allow us to safely pay homage to a family member whose legacy of love and faith was unprecedented. The breakfast was an unanticipated delight as often with the bereaved your not inclined to venture out for meals and the opportunity to be within the hotel again with family was priceless. The location was excellent and provided immediate access to our funeral needs and even close proximity to the Hanes Mall. Everyone at this hotel was simply outstanding!! From the checkin experience at the front desk to the housekeeping attendants to the breakfast staff-each person was greeted with a smile and even we are sorry for your loss with such compassion and again, genuine Hilton hospitality. Kudos to all and the management team for allowing the staff the comfort and support to go above and beyond. The friends and family members of the Victor Jordan bereaved were truly grateful.
