  Muy bien

  El hotel está muy bien, habitaciones limpias y espaciosas. Lejos del centro de la ciudad, imprescindible moverte en taxi. Tiene dos piscinas una pequeña y tranquila y la grande atestada de gente. El desayuno excelente tienes gran variedad para escoger y la verdad que viniendo de diferentes islas en las que únicamente teníamos huevos, bacon y tostadas con mantequilla pues se agradeció. El personal muy amable. No dudaría en repetir mi estancia en este hotel.

  Nice Place, But No WOW Factor!

  It was April 2016 when I came here for the first time. I dont exactly remember now anymore what was the issue that we had during check-in/out that time. But what I do remember is that the several days of staying here wasnt completely great. And despite the feeling of maybe this come back wont make anything extraordinary, I decided to give it another try. I like Montebello for several reasons. 1. the location is very convenient. Near the city yet youll get that exclusivity that youll expect from a villa-type hotel. 2. book at the right time and wholl get a good deal which is good value for money. 3. the place is beautiful. The feel of nature is in here. However, aside from the fact that the rooms arent noise-free. I wish they improve certain areas of their service in order to compensate the flaws of the hotel. 1. Provide Great Customer Service. 2. Be Informative and attention to details towards what the guest may need. 3. Be attentive and actually pay attention to your guest. Like physically and literally. 4. Try providing EXTRA-MILE Service. 5. Engage a great conversation to the guests so you can check how was their stay so far. 6. Consistency of Quality Service. And well of course, tell to each and every guests to be conscious with their noise whenever they are in the hallway of the rooms or even inside of their room as the neighbor guests can hear it from the other side. And so on and on.... This place has a great potential. However it needs to check back and well brief their staffs to provide Great Customer Service.

  Family Christmas Break

  Booked 3 rooms for Christmas for the whole family. Check in was pretty easy and the room was excellent we have pool access in our room yet didnt use myself, but the kids love it. It is a kids friendly hotel, theres a playroom, kids pool and kids can also go fishing the fishing bait only cost 100 peso each and the kids had fun. The compound is huge with good security. They have complete amenities - pool, restaurant, gym area and beautiful ground. During our stay, they also have entertaining in the evening. The service int the restaurant was good although some of staff tare trainee so the service can be tricky (hit & miss). I would have given 5 for my review but found the service at restaurant quietly slow and several occasions I ended up clearing my own dirty plates and during our stay several times few items missing in the menu. Overall really enjoying our stay at this resort.

  Day use review

  We came for day use because of the excellent pools! Theres a large lap pool and a smaller pool off to the side both in a perfect landscaped setting. Great bathrooms and locker room. They offer a complimentary afternoon buffet by the pool with Filipino pastries, noodles, fruits and coffee and hot chocolate. Theres a bar next to the large pool. We decided to stay for dinner because it happened to be a Spanish themed dinner buffet specifically that night. WOW! Absolutely unbelievable spread! Chicken, paella, seafoods, salads, fire roasted tomatoes, stuffed mushrooms, dried meats and cheeses. Hot pork and fresh vegetable dishes. Dessert area they had homemade chocolate dipped churros. They were the best churros Ive ever had! Ive never seen a Spanish themed buffet at a hotel in Philippines and Im so glad I tried it. Also, randomly there was a famous Kpop star staying here too. He was being mobbed by guests at the pool asking for autographs.

  Where Sleeping at Night can be a Nightmare

  Overall, the ground and hotel is well kept. Crew are helpful and courteous especially their restaurant at breakfast. Kudos to their patient and ever smiling staff to help you with the food. We booked for 4 nights under the previous management. We were told no parties after 10pm. Lo and behold, the night before our even, a party (no, a concert) was extended up to 12am in their glass house venue a stone's throw away from our rooms. After a lot of probing, main desk guy finally confessed the party was granted up to 12am. But he had to lie first, initially saying up to 11 and finally saying 12. The unbearable noise was like that of a concert and Montebello advertises itself as a hotel where there is "restful stay"". Be wary of this hotel and double check the events; otherwise stay away
