  Wonderful

  We booked the room via AirBNB and we were very surprised. Very comfi and clean in a gorgeous old villa near the main railway station, 10 minutes with the tram to the Semper opera. lovely room in the soutterain with a large double bed, fluffy cushions amd good smelling beddings - we loved the room. And than: enormous breakfast (only 8,- Euro/person) with everything we could wish for. Highly recommend, if you need bed and breakfast :)

  Very unique,clean, spacious accommodations. Near train station. Older well kept Facility. Do not take credit cards; .Has a full kitchen with two bedrooms and can accommodate up to 10 people. Very enjoyable facility.Has a separate living room area separate from the bedrooms, kitchen and single bath. Also has a balcony.

  Just one more staff member will make this place great

  Overall, Villa Sommerschuh is a good place to stay in Dresden. It's a very easy walk to the central station and the trams into old and new town. The rooms were warm and cozy and we loved the fact that the bathroom floors were heated as well. The breakfast was also quite filling and tasty. There were a couple of reasons why it's hard to give it more than 3 stars: 1. It's understaffed. it took a few minutes before we were let in when we arrived and the initial impression was that of an abandoned house. There was only one person at breakfast resulting in massive delays (more than an hour). Breakfast is served per room rather than in a common hall and with one person having to prepare everything and deliver 2 trays per room, that is just too inefficient. 2. The wifi doesn't reach the downstairs rooms and there is really no sitting area upstairs where we could hang out and catch up online. The wifi thing isn't too much of a big deal, but the understaffing issue needs to be addressed because it has real consequences like travel delays.

  Nice hotel

  Close to the main shopping area of Dresden, and very close to the Hauptbahnhof. Comfortable, clean rooms, and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was typical European. Hotel is situated in a very quiet residential neighborhood.

  cozy, quiet renovated old villa near city center

  This is a lovely little villa, that has new owners since 3 months. Young couple who are very hard working and helpful in making the villa, and our stay, a great experience. The villa is over a 100 years old and very charming and quiet. The next tram station that takes you to the city in 1 stop is just about 5 minutes away by foot, great connections all day long. Breakfast was good, not a huge choice, but good quality. If you love old quaint places, this is the place to stay! Thank you!
