  Suprisingly Good Hotel

  I had long transit wait (16hours) in Chengdu on way back from Shantou to catch my connecting KLM flight to UK. [Needed just a bed] so I booked this very reasonably priced hotel. It is just about 2km from the airport entrance as it is just on the side of the Airport. The hotel was a treat. I was expecting it like other low budget hotels in Shantu however it was a lot better than I expected. The staff was very pleasant and helpful to make sure everything is OK. I got ill [kidney stone pain] during the night and the hotel did their best to take care of me i.e. the owner/manager who spoke basic English himself took me to Hospital and made sure I got the best treatment. I can never thank them enough and would recommend them to anybody who are in Chengdu. Learn very basic Chinese [Hello, How are you. Thank you, No thanks, very nice, how much, taxi, airport,] as nearly all of the staff in the budget hotel hardly speak any English.

  Airport Hotel

  Would not recommend this hotel as it is very difficult to find. Taxi driver refused to go there. The only way to get there from downtown is to go to the airport and with great difficulty to find a shuttle bus to the hotel. The rooms were not very well kept, the beds okay, but given a choice, I would not stay in this hotel again unless there was nothing else available.

  Airport Hotel - Fit For Purpose

  We just a place to stay before morning flight leaving to Tibet. The hotel fits the purpose. Shuttle service is free. But you need to call the hotel to arrange pick up. Please be reminded the staff (driver) most likely just able to communicate in mandarin. Took us a while to really understand the local chinese accent on where to pick up in phone. By the way, the hotel pick up location is at Gate 5, one floor above arrival hall. The hotel also provided drop service to airport the next day. The hotel is more like a local chinese owned apartment. Decent but dont expect it to be like western 4 star hotel. Wifi is working all right.

  Hotel located inside a housing society

  The hotel is located nearby the airport and quite convenient to catch early morning flights as they have drop facility. But its quite difficult to find as taxi drivers too were unaware. It would match more of a studio apartment category than a hotel. Its value for money staying for catching early morning flights.

  Ok for a night before an early flight

  Spent one night before an 8:00 AM flight from ChengDu. Booked through booking.com and had printed confirmation with number but hotel had no record. Luckily they had a room available. Room was fine and ok value for the price. Definitely not fancy but serviceable. Interesting location close to market streets with lots of street food.
