  Good position nice view

  This hotel is belonging to Bernardine group hotel and is the part of complex. It is ok because you can use the facilities of the spa/pool area of another hotel of the group. Massages in this hotel are really profesionaly done and i would recomand them. As these are apartments we did not take breakfast so can not tell what are the options there. We were making our own breakfas but had lunch and dinner in vicinity of hotel. All the apartments have nice views which, i believe, are calculated in the price of apartment rent per night. The rooms on the other hand are not nicely furnished. It has all you need of furniture but this furniture is really old and uncomfortable for siting and relaxing. Although a lots of families with kids are coming here may be it is not really recommendable if you have baby.

  Excellent location for the area/nice view

  Appartments are located right on the beach, This is providing nice view but as well a lot of noise from the pool area during day activities. There are water aerobics, some kids competitions etc. which are surrounded with a really loud music. Not to pleasant for those who prefer to stay away from the sun radiation on the beach during hottest hours of the day. It wilbe good if pool loudspeakers moved/re-directed toward the beach. The room: Like: - kitchen area equipped with nearly everything you need to cook any if not very complicated meal - sufficient air conditioning for both rooms - enough room for 3-4 persons Don't like: - too small cheap looking shower corner with poor drain The area: Excellent location just in the middle between nice ancient town Piran and Portoroz. Both towns are in walking distance about 2 km to the center. There are also some public transportation available: 1. A bit touristic train every hour 4 /person. You can get with it either to Piran or Portoroz center 2. Free bus from grand hotel Bernardin ( about 200m walking from Vila Barka) to Piran center 3. Local bus No 3 running between Piran and Lucia, about 1.5 . This one is convenient mostly to get to Portoroz or Lucija. The nearest stop is about 200 m from the hotel toward Portoroz. For dinner I would recommend get to Piran and then just walk back. There are loads of cozy restaurants with better food quality and up to 30% cheaper for same dish comparing to resort area.

  Old used equipment. Smelly carpet, dirty aircondition. It is understandable to take the star. 3 stars? hmm ... Very expenenseve,bad and cumbersom luggage handling. Helpfull londiners (parkingspace) Never to goo.
